The Tenjinbashi Shotengai ( shopping arcade) that runs through the

Tenma District is the longest shopping street in Japan but the

shadowy backstreets crisscrossed with narrow alleys, cramped

shops and shadowy underpasses is an even better place for picture

taking.

A most revealing glimpse of the threads of life that exist in these back streets!  It must be a fascinating "people watching" experience. Just finding a quiet corner to blend in and observe unnoticed must be the challenging part.

I love the expression of grim determination of the cyclist

Could also be titled 'Out of the Darkness' or 'Into the light'.  One time when shadow detail would be a distraction.  Nice toning too.  I find humour in the size of the bell on the bike compared to the size of the guy most likely to activate it.  A huge horn with a rubber squeeze bulb would seem more appropriate for the size of his hands.  Keep 'em comin' Jack.  Best, LM.

A touch of humour, just to mach an excitement when we enter dark from light and not sure what we will see next :).

Great deepness. Amazing presentation of light changing.

I saw the thumbnail and  wanted to see more. I had a feeling that this was one of yours Jack. What i like is that you have a knack of capturing the essence of people and their culture without any added distractions whistles or bells.
