Fast Jazz (Please click for larger view)

Some of my friends regularly play at the Jazz Kitchen, and I can sit

close and take shots as I wish. This is just being submitted so I can

enter the PN competition this month: Concerts

And what a great entry it is too! 

I love the piano make (YAMAHA) standing bold amongst the blur of the musicians hands / fingers!  I also really like the panoramic crop too. I can imagine it framed and hung on a door with the words "Music Room" embossed on it.

it's a wonderful image. I like the long exposure to illustrate the motion of the hands and I am (almost) always a fan of wide panoramic crops.

A wonderful and artful image.  key is that the keys are sharp and the hands show movement. Congrats.

What is it about the excitement of musical instruments singing instead of our mouths -- more exciting, poignant, soulful -- I love the movement and placement of the hands in reflection.  The shine the cropping and framing.  What is on the upper left?  Anyway, this sings to me

A no-brainer crop, the blurred hands, and your decision to present in a warm colour balance all combine to make this a very original and effective image.  No trouble imagining a jazz venue. (though I'm no expert)  Must be nice to have an insider's privileged  freedom.  Best, LM.
