kent_barry 0 Posted December 20, 2013 Of the two of these I think I like Blackchurch Rock II just a bit better. It seems like there's an optical illusion going on, and in both of them the horizon seems to slant about a degree. Certainly no big deal. What makes the other more appealing to me is that in this one , because of the movement of the water and the shutter speed, the lower left quadrant is blurry which is very mildly distracting. I love the contrast and saturation levels; the picture looks realistic to me, the way you might remember having seen it. I don't take pictures this good, so don't worry about my critque--I'm only commenting because I really like them. So thanks for posting! Link to comment
toddsmith 0 Posted December 20, 2013 This shot is very soothing. Great for a doctor or dentists office; but, it would look good many other places too. Thanks. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted December 21, 2013 I prefer the Blackchurch Rock 11 version myself too, but for slightly different reasons. The foreground detail is better viewed and the space between the peak of the rock and the edge of the frame is that much greater. I would just ease off very slightly on the saturation levels for the clouds too, but overall they are both very aesthetically pleasing. Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
thomas_m_duffy 0 Posted December 23, 2013 I like #II better as well becasue the rocks are not covered with water and they lead my eye to the beautiful structure. Nice capture! Link to comment
