Time gives us the answers sometimes,. or simply .. we enter in a

closed loop that doesn't leave us from our own dilemmas

The dilemma I find here is in binding a woman to make a photo. Sorry, the story is not working for me.

After I saw the style of your photograph I understood why this artwork didn't work for you :), and probably most of my artworks won't work for you as well.

Fred, I wonder if "Predicament" might have worked better for you (although I know that you don't let titles influence your view of a photograph).  Or is it simply the bound woman, much like what the nude in a grungy basement and with a burlap bag covering her head does to me?

Stephen, the title didn't much enter into my comment, other than my using it to introduce my thoughts.

Hugo, I try not to dismiss negative critiques because a photographer who's taken the time to comment has a portfolio of a different style than mine. That's because I know that many people who concentrate their own photography on a particular area or style can still view photos of a broad array with insight. I try to assess others' comments on the basis of what they've said. But each of us has to decide what credence we will give to others' thoughts about our work.

The ropes on her wrists don't disturb me. I'd be more put off by ropes around her shoulders and torso. Or neck. Why is the rope ending reaching for the sky? This is a visual parable about freedom. The birds and balloons float freely and the subject of the photo cannot. Cliché. Not my thing. Sorry Hugo. Not today.

The ropes don't bother me. It's obviously posed, yet has a natural look to it. I find the juxtaposition between she and the free floating balloons and birds interesting. I like the processing. Maybe a bit too negative in space on the sides. Square or vertical, I believe to be belter choices

This artwork was put by PN as a image of the day, I'm sure that for PN it isn't such a kind of "chicle" artwork :). I don't understand why your spent your valuable time for write under my artwork if you don't like it :). Anyway thanks for increase a number of viewers of my artwork :).

Hugo, you have much to learn about critiques that are given on PN.  Photos are not selected by PN for the POTD simply because they are the best, without flaws or shortcomings, etc.  Even if they did, it's still perfectly valid that some viewers may find this to be a cliche; PN alone can't decide what's cliche and what's not cliche.  Finally, whether a person wants to comment is not based on whether that person likes the photograph; Fred summarized this very well.  You might want to open your mind to a variety of viewpoints, to see your own work from many different perspectives, to get a broader view of your own work.

Personally, I rather like the photograph, with the model constrained and not free like the balloons and birds in the background (that's a very brief summary of my own interpretation), but your reaction to the critiques leaves much room for improvement.

My vision about photography is related to artistic photography, I participated in many international contest of Artistic Photography all over the world, and I won more than 200 prizes, I have the title of PROFICIENCY of Photographic Society of America and ARTIST of Israel Photographic Art Society. So this is my narrow world related to this wide view of photography.
I don't spend my time taking photograph of birds and flowers for example, because it's not for me, I don't feel that kind of photography, and I respect this kind of photography.
In one hand if someone comes with a real critique, just telling me what's their viewpoint and how to improve the work then they will be very welcome.
In other hands PN members wrote me things in a aggressive way, even more after that two PN friends wrote below my artwork with a delay of 6 min between them, this is a very different thing.
Just I can agree you about my reaction to those "critiques", and I sorry but my previous comment wasn't for you, Pierre, Sergio and even Ken.
