Hi Donna, Nice clean, contrasty street shot. The b&w tones are excellent. She looks like she has no time for the news, moving along at a quick pace, and he only has eyes for her, and news. Well seen and presented with a good working title. Tilts down to the left a little but that's not critical in shots like this. Good to see new stuff from you Donna. Take care.

Best Always,

Holger

The newsboy could well be a transfixed tree himself... a good catch, Donna, particularly with the fixated woman in mid-stride... and with iconic Tiffany & Co as a remote backdrop...

That's a story photo indeed ! I like very much the timing and the framing. And the guy ! What a positive attitude ! Superb

Thanks for your enthusiasm, my friend Holger; you definitely got the story; and streetwalks aren't as straight as ocean horizons, lol. thanks for understanding that... Nice interpretation of the story, Rajat; also, you make me think of newsboys as London icons... Thank you for your attention Ruud and Sveta... Thank you Benoit; things like framing are very exact with me; and "positive attitude" i suppose mean the story is amusing, lol. i thought so ;-} dp

Another scene you have captured that we just don't see in America anymore. Makes me think of all those old wonderful Cary Grant type movies from the 40's and 50's when people actually cared about what was going on in the world and newsboys announced the arrival of the latest headlines. Of course, that was way before my time and I have probably romanticized it, but the older I get, the more nostalgic I become. I can't wait to see London; it must seem like being in a different era in a way, if you know where to look, and apparently, you do! Good work; thank you for sharing. :)

thank you, Trish,,,

10 centuries maybe more defining their culture; a long rich history of what's important to them                                                                             ;-} dp

I love the animation in this shot and the great reflections. The "News Boy" in this image is a selling a paper called "The Big Issue"  this occupation is normally undertaken by homeless people in order to raise funds and earn an income without resorting to begging, allowing them some self respect. It's a great organisation and I'm really glad you caught the positive vibes of it here.

Here is a link to their web pages.
