kuzzy 0 Posted December 6, 2013 Not a true Macro but I guess this is the best category for this type of shot. I made a somewhat unplanned visit to a botanical garden this fall and decided to just put my kit lens on the camera as it was a little late in the growing season to expect much in the way of flowers to photograph. I was thinking more in the line of fall foliage so I left my other lens choices behind. Lesson learned. But hey I think this came out alright considering. Let me know what you think, good and bad, please be critical it helps the most. Thanks Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 7, 2013 I really like the composition and the colour contrasts. The bee is very sharp and well detailed, but there is a lack of detail in the flowers. Now this isn't a bad thing if that is what was intended and I assume you were shooting with a wide open aperture? But just as a personal preference I would have liked to see a bit more detail in the flowers.Nevertheless it is a photograph I would have been proud to have taken. Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted December 7, 2013 Macro, non macro, beautiful artistically rendered shot! Best regards, Marc! PDE Link to comment
kuzzy 0 Posted December 11, 2013 Alf, I could not agree with you more. The flowers in focus would have been better and they are a little blown out as well adding to the loss of detail. Thank you for taking the time to critique my work it is greatly appreciated. Pierre, Thanks for taking the time to review this image, your comments are greatly appreciated as well.Marc Link to comment
