Enlightenment

Sun rays breaking through the clouds over the Great Smoky Mountains.

Beautiful light on a lovely subject. A successful exposure of a challenging scene!

I'd be interested to see how this looks a little brighter maybe, and slightly less contrasty too. The soft rolling hills might convey their unique mood better under softer tones.

Congrats on getting this shot, I have none of my own to compare it to!

One of the best examples of crepuscular light rays I have seen! 

The layers have more substance and consequently the  image appears to have more depth when viewed larger.

That little knob looks familiar but I can't place this view (Blue Ridge?).  A beautiful shot... Mike

This range of mountains certainly lives up to the description. I like the composition. I would clone out the dust spots, a couple in the clouds at the 8 o'clock position next to the brightest spot in the sky and three on the right in the mountains.
