While at historical Cold Spring Village, this charming lady was

spinning tales as well as yarn. Your thoughts and comments are

most welcome. Please view larger and thanks for looking.

Hi Holger,

A great scene with the lady as the main star !

Technically well shot with the camera and lens settings employed.

Best Regards my friend, Mike

Holger, seems you've charmed her - she's practically blushing! I think perhaps you had restricted scope for movement in this place, thus the extra space on the right and the snipping of the spinning wheel... framing her in the faux fireplace was a fine decision... the exif would have me believe this was taken at 01:31...

Great light, scene and a contagious smile.  There are some technical aspects but they don't distract me from enjoying this wonderful image.

I only think that you should have shift the camera to the left, cause there is too much empty room on the right and the furniture looks modern, but I am not sure because I don't what problem awaits on the left, ha!

Best regards, Holger!

Yea I'm aware of some of the tech aspects you're alluding to Tony and Pierre. There was no room to my left because of the other folks viewing the room, I fixed the window, its slant was far worse than what you see now. I so liked this lady I had to present this to the PN crowd despite its tech issues. Thanks very much for looking and your comments.

I like the mood  and especially the smile, it adds a great bright demeanour to the photograph.

I like the way you have composed the shot with the pale form of your subject set against the dark fireplace.

I think this would also look interesting cropped just to the right of the fireplace vertically and converted to a sepia tone to enhance the ageless kind of theme.

Very well done Holger!

Best Regards

Beautiful image with lots of life. I love your portraits, as the subjects always seem relaxed around you. That, not technical brilliance, is the true art of portraiture. Lovely.

She looks so full of life and happy to be there Holger. Sorry I missed this one last year. Beautiful natural light and excellent POV. The title is perfect!
