LineMartel 6,289 Posted August 17, 2013 Who knew spiders could look cuddly... Your comments are welcome as always. Thanks, Line Link to comment
gregverena 342 Posted August 17, 2013 great macro - wonder if he's worried about the bald spot on top :) Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted August 17, 2013 Hi Line, Wonderful macro of this wicked looking spider with wonderful details & colors. Take care, Patsy Link to comment
LineMartel 6,289 Posted August 17, 2013 I am assuming the comment was from Gregory... hahaha how genders perceive things differently: you saw it as balding, I saw it as a cuddly baby monster!!! Link to comment
grimstache 0 Posted August 17, 2013 I love it, reminds me of mu Grandpa. Detail is stunning, and I love that we can see the eyes. The only think that "bugs" me is the blurry foreground. In some ways it makes the viewer think he or she needs reading glasses. I would crop closer to the spider both top and bottom. You took a really great picture, let the viewer enjoy the subject. Arachnid Awesomeness! Link to comment
LineMartel 6,289 Posted August 18, 2013 Your grandpa!!! You are right I could have cropped a little more. I am always afraid to crop too much and end up with the bug filling the whole frame. I just don't like that approach, I prefer to show them in context. As for the blur, it is inherent to macro photography...Thanks again for your comment, much appreciated!Sincerely, Line Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted August 18, 2013 Great shot of this furry little guy. He looks cute here but when I see one in my shower he looks like a pervert with his roving eyes and gives me the creeps; it makes for a very quick shower after which I take the little guy outside to "play". I'm glad you captured him on a leaf - eliminates the creep factor! Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted August 18, 2013 He does look very cute and its a brilliant shot, but I still wouldn't fancy cuddling him! : - ) Detail is exquisite! Compliments! Alf Link to comment

capturedbymiwebb 0 Posted August 18, 2013 Very nice macro Line. Good sharp details and good isolation of the subject. I love the face these little guys have! Is it a jumping spider? So Gregory saw balding, you saw cuddly... I thought he was wearing a helmet--that might be my military influence...Warm Regards,Michael Link to comment
LineMartel 6,289 Posted August 18, 2013 Thanks for your comment. Yea...I can see him as a commander... He is indeed a tiny 5mm jumper! Link to comment
