alfbailey 4 Posted July 27, 2013 The dark twisted limbs of the trees that reach into the canopy like veins look superb. It almost becomes abstract when staring into the myriad of branches.I am curious to know how it would have looked in colour. Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment

ravinderdang 0 Posted July 29, 2013 Excellent picture. The placement of objects is near perfect. The choice of Black & White is lifting the image. The play of highlights & dark patches (leaves) Near the top is very interesting. Well Done. Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted July 31, 2013 big thanks for your encouraging comments! In fact, I was not entirely sure, whether to prefer colour or b/w - but in the end decided for b/w because I found it emphasized the trunks, branches and twigs better. Nevertheless, here's also the colour version. Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted August 4, 2013 It's fascinating to see this photo in color after having formulated an opinion on it in b&w. IMHO the b&w version feels foreboding while the color is relaxing and warm. Both are beautiful. I prefer the b&w. Nice work.~~~~L Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted August 5, 2013 The black and white is stunning, but I feel more comfortable with the color version. I love the greens, Link to comment
Wouter Willemse 851 Posted August 17, 2013 It's like a scene from the bad woods in Lord of the Rings, or maybe some horror-movie where we're lost inside a mind.... It's very atmospheric, maybe not an immediate pleasant atmosphere, but captivating and engaging all the same. And from the colour version, I can wholeheartedly say: B&W is completely the right choice.
