From a backpack trip last month with some smoky skies at sunset over

the Crystal Range in Desolation Wilderness. If you look closely, you

can make out my tent in the nearest patch of forest.

I like the composition and the elements within it. The little trees that stubbornly refuse to give up on life and the glimpses of the reflections of the distant mountains in the pool of water.

I am curious about the use of F25 aperture though?

Compliments & Best Regards

Thanks for commenting, Alf!

f/25 sounds like operator error ;-) Fortunately sharpness isn't much of an issue on the web at this size.

OMGosh - Dave - what a wonderful scene that you have shared with us. The fiery mountain top does contrast very well with the bottom portion. I would have a field day here. For the 2nd shot  I would have run up that round boulder, turned the camera around into portrait mode and get that bolder in the foreground and the mountains in the background. I might have scrambled for my third shot by lying on that hard rock up close to the water.

So many possibilities! All the very best and keep up the good work.
