I usually post in the nude category but thought this image was more appropriate in

fashion since the focus is clearly on the knickers. I would appreciate any comments

or critiques.

Hi Dana

This image is very appealing and really works!  The white lingerie being the lightest part of the image doubly draws the eye.

Very nice indeed.

I am taken by how well this photo goes with the one in the folder just below it in your portfolio, the mountain with cloud. They seem to echo each other and act as a pair. The dark highlights at the bottom of the photo remind me of sound waves and they give texture and presence to the darkness. The low key effect, especially on her legs, is strong, as is the white of the lace lingerie, so they complement each other and provide, for me, quite a bit of visual tension and boldness in an otherwise delicately-portrayed figure.

Fred.  Thanks for commenting on this one.  I admit to having a fondness for it.  The comparison to the one landscape in my portfolio is interesting and I didn't really make the connection but I can see what you mean by the echo.  An interesting insight for sure.  I am glad you see the effect of the low key on the model and contrast with the lingerie and I agree it is fairly bold.  The highlights at the bottom took a while to get right and I think provide some visual reference in the negative space of the photo.  I think the sound wave reference is cool but didn't really see it until you mentioned it.

Thanks.  Dana...
