Possibly because of the amount of time I spend walking in the woods, looking down at fallen leaves, the illusion is not immediate for me. I have to consciously flip the frame up and over to conform to your title. I love the idea and the image itself

As for television, the programing still has a long way to go.

This so reminds me of the usual you. Unseen details made larger than life, with the greatest sense of humor. If you're doing this, you're still at the top of your game.  Were the rabbit ears nearby?

You are really both, a poet and a great photographer.I'm glad to see you out of your hibernation, but even  there your talent never stops! ;-)) What a great idea!

They had the aspect ratio correct. Did you de saturate the colors outside of the block? Good work.

Thanks a lot for the comments on this one.

Gordon. Every so often an element in a picture will key some association and then I try to catch the tail of that thing and draw it kicking and screaming from out of the shadows of my mind where it sleeps and into the bright light of a photograph. Sometimes it's a bit of a stretch, I agree. I think I share some genes with Gary Larson of The Far Side.

Thanks David - As I noted to Gordon, I've always been a fan of Gary Larson. Some people get his humor and some don't. My Japanese friends almost never do. That's why I rarely show my pictures to my students or friends here anymore. They're simply perplexed and don't know what to make of them. As for the rabbit ears, unfortunately the rabbit hopped away before I could bag him.

Tatjana - You always seem to catch my attempts at humor and I'm grateful for that. It's depressing when you tell a joke you think is funny and no one gets it.

Pnina - I might allow a bit of the poet reference but as for "great photographer" I know one when I see one and I ain't one of 'em! At most I'm a dime-store novelist among the great storytellers with cameras. Sometimes I catch an amusing image but that's about as far as it goes. Nevertheless, I soldier on.

Chuck - Thanks. Yeah, I de-saturated the surrounding colors to emphasize the idea of a television. It was an awful lot of work for a quick joke.

Alf - Thanks as always for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'm glad it gave you a smile. I have to say you've shamed me into responding to comments a little more. As you have pointed out, if a person takes the time to leave a comment, they are at least entitled to a thank you. So thank you for that bit of insight also.

I love the 'Far Side' and have a few books. One line humour and always great when you need a chuckle. It is the things one doesn't always see, as in 'his' work that makes the 'punch line' effective. Love this one Jack. All you need is something for 'rabbit ears'!
