Practitioners of this "brand" of Judaism believe that every instance of performing a deed commanded by the Torah will bring the Messiah one step closer to returning. In this instance, a Lubavitcher is helping a young man (considered an adult by virtue of being 13 or older) to wrap Tefillin. "So you shall put these, my words, on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them for signs on your hands, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes."
