You might want to put a reminder in to click the photo to enlarge it.  At the smaller size I did not see the stars at all.

I like the stark quality of the silhouetted trees, and the proportions allowed for the sky.  The image gives me the impression of a story book cover, I half expect to see the profile of a rabbit or fox against the sky line.

LOL @ Alf.  He's right about the book cover but I think that's a good thing.

I really like the proportion as well and the blue is beautiful.

Jerry, Mark and Alf, thank you so much for your comments. Yes, I agree, the image looks magical. That's probably because the place itself is pretty special: A loess ridge covered with old oaks.Years of controlled burns have thinned out the forest, creating quite a few scenic dead trees, but also allowing the remaining oaks to shine.
