Your thoughts on this image and how it is edited (etc) are very insightful and never actually occurred to me. Wouldn't it be nice if we both could sit for a bit for a chat???

Such an inviting scene.  I could prop up my feet here with a good book and be quite content.  It's a wonderful image just the way it is, but because it has a bit of a 'times gone by' nostalgic look to it, it may also look good in B&W, though I didn't try it.

Yes I am sure we would have 'no end'  to what we could talk about, and we could share our 'Photographic Dream List' !! I am sure a few lenses would be on there!

I like the rich texture in this photo. It's one of those settings that just invites one to be there.

Thank you for dropping by! it is not quite a cozy beach chair with an umbrella and Palm tree overhead, but I am sure you have seen the Fall colours in the US. Many thanks for your input Dom, truly appreciated.

Warm regards, Gail

What a nice heart warming image. Love the texture of wood and a flower basket. Warmest regards, Tamara

Just a wonderful "still life." Very rustic furniture and the colors of autumn are always to die for. The photo is not all "peaceful" as there is a bit of drama in waiting to see if the flower basket, not centered on the old table, tumbles over the edge! I bet you planned that Gail!! Love the shot!!

I like the rustic appearance of the image, there is an impressionist painterly quality that sets this apart, and dictates that it should be used in a greetings card. I think "Welcome Home" would be a fitting category.

Very well done Gail!

Best Regards

A very nicely composed photograph Gail, a great result, it makes me want to sit down and put my feet up and relaxes... regards Grant.

So happy to hear you enjoyed this image. Actually I didn't plan where the 'basket' was, and at the time wondered myself if I should move it closer to the middle of the table. I didn't touch it though, as I liked where it was for the image, and after I sat down, I had room to put my water bottle down!!

So glad you enjoyed this image Tamara. I know how you love your walks in the country. This place would be about an hours drive from Lynde Shores where you have been in Whitby. You would love it. I don't get to visit there often anymore, but if we change our 'route' when driving to my daughter's place in Oshawa, I can drop in. Fall is my most favorite time to visit Pingles Market. There are Pumpkins, Squash, Apples and all sorts of goodies everywhere!!! The baked goods they sell inside their little store are so good!!

I know you would like this place. Your boys would as well, especially at Thanksgiving!! They go all out so that the children can have fun!! I have not been through the CORN MAZE but every year they have a new theme.
