tm_j 30 Posted May 8, 2013 Nice background shot which beg the question how you do that since they really hide the nest from the Crows most of the time. A few years back next to my house there was a nest and even though it's well hidden it's was all broken up one afternoon by the Crows ... I wish it's legal to shoot Crows :-) - TFS! I mean not with a camera for the Crows, of course! Link to comment

knobby6 1 Posted May 12, 2013 A final comment on how unforgiving nature can be. I have watched this since she first started building the nest. Last time I photographed it mom was a no show. Apparently she meant her demise and was probably killed and eaten by a predator. Both chicks were found dead in the nest, presumably from starvation. Had I known, maybe I could have intervened and hand fed chicks. Was a bit personal as I have watched the whole process from the beginning. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 24, 2013 Monte, I can understand how you would feel. Must have been heartbreaking to see what you saw. I know I would be, especially if I had taken images and been watching from the start.Sincere thoughts, sympathies, (may sound weird, but you do feel 'grief' when you see something like this), Gail Link to comment
