pnital 36 Posted March 23, 2013 My friends and visitors,as well as PN members, my best wishes. The singer is Ye'ela Avital. in a concert of Barrocade ensemble, at the church in the Arab village - Abu Gosh. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted March 23, 2013 Before I opened the JPG I thought that somebody designed a record cover..I opened it and yes it does look like a record cover..Beautiful expressions, especially the lady's on the right front. The message is very clear..Greek Easter is coming up too.I wish you too a happy Passover! Just a little nit pick. Where you, very correctly composition wise, cloned out the figure on the left, there are some visible markings left that you perhaps in your harry to upload the photo you didn't notice.Warm regards,Dimitris. jim_hoffman 1 Posted March 24, 2013 Likewise to you,Pnina! Beautiful expressions and composition. Did you clone out a person on the left?In any case,it was the right decision compositionwise IMHO. Cheers,JIm Link to comment
sranga 2,136 Posted March 25, 2013 Like the smooth variation in focus very much. Wonderfully done. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 25, 2013 Dimitris, thanks especially of your good eye. Two things in your comment were the right point, the LHS needed some cleaning..,but for me what was essential was your refering to Ye'ela as the singer at the RHS and I wanted her to be the center of attention in composition ..so I cropped a bit of the LHS.. thanks for your helpfull comment. Thanks Grigoriy,Jim, and Ranga for your wishes and nice comments. Happy holidays to you all. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Is much better now, my dear and having been, among my other 'sins', a classical singer my self, I can almost hear her voice...she is putting her heart and soul into it... what a beautiful pose and expression she has and you pressed the button just at the right moment. Warm regards,Dimitris. Link to comment
tibig 0 Posted March 26, 2013 A singing spring we have both here and outside around us.Wish you too a somewhat late happy passover, Tibi Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 29, 2013 Another quality piece of work from you, Pnina. The emphasis is just where it should be. Happy holidays to you. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted March 30, 2013 As did one of your other commenters, I saw the thumbnail and was certain you had done a CD or DVD cover. Well, not all is as it seems. While I'm not fond of religious acts of any type, I do like the look of impassioned concentration on the main character. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted March 31, 2013 I concur with the other comments. I like the emphasis you managed to put on Ye'ela Avital's expressive face. The subdued tones are nice and seem to be appropriate for the mood here as well. One little remark about the yellow/orange patch (plastic paper or glass..?) at the left, center-bottom of the picture -- I find it a tad distracting perhaps....Maybe it could be made a bit darker..?Otherwise it's a very nice picture (perfect for a CD cover, yes), & I want to wish you again a very good Passover Holiday, Pnina. pnital 36 Posted April 1, 2013 Dimitris ,thanks for your follow up, Ye'ela has a very warm soprano voice that go's very well with her human personality. Interesting that you sing as well ! My next visit to Greece I will come to listen;-))... Tibi, thanks as well, was nice to talk with you! Jack, thanks as well and happy holidays for you too! Dave, she is not prying it is C. Monteverdi the baroque composer! ;-)) Marjolein, if we are talking of the same lower orange part , it is part of the music tool. Thanks all of you, and happy spring to you and your families Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted April 7, 2013 How very earnest she looks. I like how faces bob atop the black robes and there is ample space above for the song. Link to comment
