Nicely done! Was that bridge packed with 30-40 photo seminar students as it often is? They bus them in from the Bay area.

No, I was there in the middle of the week early spring, about five of us there.  I know what you are talking about and it is not worth the effort to deal with crowds. Got my shot I am happy.  Thank you for your kind thoughts.  Best regards.

This is America's darling, and nice as always. I suggest saturation of some colors especially the sky on a lighter side to make it look more natural. Tint could move away from the magenta side a bit. Otherwise nice.

Sherry,  This is another wonderful image of Zion, yes?  I enjoyed your choice of e-mail addresses as I do your images.  I love mountains too. Larry

I really like the color and freshness of the early spring growth in the chartreuse crowned trees, and overall it is a really balanced composition.

This image has a great feeling of the wide open outdoors Sherry. The composition is very good. The river makes for a great leading line right to the peak in the center of the frame.

Because it has such an Ansel Adams feel to it, I converted it to grayscale to see how it looked. I don't think it loses anything in the conversion, in fact in my opinion it makes it look even stronger! What do you think?

I find this image quite beautiful as it is Sherry. I find the early spring colour of the trees a most welcome sight to what I am sure were very dull colours on the terrain either side of the river. The air must have had such a fresh and revitalizing aroma. Beautiful capture!

This for sure must be seen in color because the green of  trees, especially those in middle, are so good.I agree me too that the blue is too intense  a bit and disturb the attention from the beauty of the valley. Is nice composed and I like this scene caught,my compliments.

It is an interesting and very nice composition, and a lovely scenery. And it cant be any doubt that this must be in colours. Springtime with this beautiful green trees, realy beautiful.

A well chosen perspective. I would normally get closer to the water, but I think the decision to get a more elevated view to take the shot, was a wise one!  It give a better overall feel for the river valley in its entirety rather than just a localised viewpoint, and the spring colour contrasts are lovely!

I like B & W images, but I have to say in this case the colours are key to the overall appeal.

Compliments & Best Regards

Thank you for your very kind words, Your B&W shows this image well and as a B&W has some what of an Ansel Adams look about it. I have played around with B&W some in the past but for the most part stuck with color as color is very pleasing to me. I should try more B&W as there are many that have impresse me.

Thank you!  When I shoot nature I feel a sense of renewal and peace and calm.

Thank you!  The spring green of the trees really for me was the eye catcher in this scene. The sky was quite blue that evening as was the pink in the clouds. Always amazed at the colors nature paints with.

Thank you for your thoughts and time are appreciated, I am glad you liked this image.  Thanks.

Thank you! I am one who loves to get close to the water, but in this case as you noted I would have lost the beauty of the valley down river.
