hamidh 0 Posted December 22, 2012 Hi Wolfgang: I very much love the fact that the geometry is not "perfect" in fact. The tones and quality of the work is beautiful, as is often the case in your work, and a pleasure to behold. Somehow the tones on this paper reminds me of an old Agfa paper I used to use way back in the darkroom, especially when I wanted to get this type of tone. The textures from the rope to the different grains of wood are also lovely to behold. (I wonder if I am right in seeing some vignetting effects in this print or was it just the shadow naturally falling? It seems to me be to the former, and if that I wondered how this may have looked like without it or with less of it...just a thought..). Kind regards, -h. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 26, 2012 A wonderful combination of geometric shapes and patterns combined with almost tangible textures! The crossed interwoven wire ropes add a certain tension to the scene, it makes you want to reach out and touch it!Sincere Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 12, 2013 The tones and solid composition really conveys a feeling of strength. The devil is in the details and you got them just right. Link to comment
Wouter Willemse 851 Posted January 19, 2013 I love compositions like these, the "hidden" mathematics of real life, photography discovery shapes and forms that would be overlooked otherwise. Link to comment
