Yes, here is one ,but I am afraid it will not be about the image ,in my average understanding of English ,rocks are something bigger and larger ,if I am going to title the image I would say stones ,or pebbles .

May I ask you kindly the reason behind your title, please ?

"Colorful Rocks"!  You are absolutely right - pebbles or stones. I would not use stones because in some cultures it can take on drastically different meanings. I will stick with 'pebbles'. Perhaps I will rename it completely.

I was somewhat hesitant  to place this for critique so I am curious if you have any comments on the image especially when it is viewed larger?

You could also use "Gravel" or maybe "Aggregates" or possibly "Chippings"

But hey, the content is more to the point!

I do like the larger view, and I can appreciate the very raw and nautural way you have portrayed this, the variety of colours, sizes, shapes and textures are amazing. However I can't help but think that the image would have a more abstract look devoid of the twigs and leaves? But maybe thats just what you were trying to avoid?

Compliments and Best Regards

Alf - thanks. I was able to spend some quality time at this location over a two day period and I just really enjoyed the natural beauty that was around me. I am sure I have an image of these pebbles without any twigs. I particularly wanted the twigs to keep it, as you guessed, out of the realm of being described as an abstract.

The first day I was here I was able to get a shot with which I am quite pleased ( http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=13062673  ) and then I traveled back the 2nd day for a repeat performance but the conditions were totally different.

Thanks for stopping by and all the very best,

Hi Tony, Would go with Alf. First view, wanted to remove the twigs and leaves. The top half with fewer and bigger pebbles is more pleading.

Thanks,

Harsha.
