The photo was taken on the Belgium coast in the little town called De

Haan. On the main land the weather was dull and gray, but the front ended

on the coastal line and there was even a few rays of sunshine over the Northern sea. This is a panorama from 7 different pictures. Your thoughts

and critiques are really welcome.

Nice panoramic scene, The horizon line is too much in the middle, i would rather give more space to the beach as there is not much interest to the upper side of the sky. This is just my opinion. Otherwise well done and nice capture Ulla.

Keep well

Technically this is very well done but even when I look at the large view and don't find anything to latch onto. I've posted a number of urban panoramas over the years and have viewed many others here at PN. For whatever reason, very few do well in the ratings department. Looks like yours will be an exception.

I like the image, especially for the footsteps coming in from the left and continuing to the right (or the other way round). Probably they are not yours or may be partially. But it gives a glimpse of a possibility that you photographed your own past and future. Beautiful scene and an impressive sky over land. Congratulations

The dark ominous looking cloud is for me, the element that makes for compulsive veiwing. But the people add scale and depth and I also like gradual light at each end of the pano.   2 Questions : -  Did you accentuate the dark cloud, by making it darker than it was?  What software did you use to stitch the 7 images together?

Compliments & Best Regards

Alf

Ulla,  You get my vote on this excellent image too.  The ominous sky and beach make it most effective.  That said, I wonder if cropping some of the beach would benefit or hinder the image. I guess you have to try it to judge for yourself.  Congratulations on a superb image. Larry
