thadley 15 Posted January 30, 2013 Very strong composition resulting in excellent depth perception. I would like to recommend that if you have the opportunity to repeat the shot, you could move back a bit to get the closest flower pot completely. I would also like to suggest that you bracket several exposures to capture the complete dynamic range since some highlights have been over-exposed. With the dynamic range covered, back at the computer you can decide whether you want to have the highlight details or for artistic reasons, you would prefer it the way you have it here. But at least you have all options available. Artistically I might leave the walls with the highlights lost while anything outside I might want all of the details. It comes down to tastes and what you as an artist wish to present. Please do not think that this is a negative critique, it is a practice that I try to do for myself but it may not be for everyone. All the very best, Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted February 1, 2013 I really like the dynamics and warm tones of the image. I can see straight away all of the points that Tony has raised and can't argue with a single aspect of his observations. However this still remains in its current form a well constructed and aesthetically pleasing image. There is an almost abstract quality that draws the eye and holds it.Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
