One of those rare instances of perfect equilibrium and mood depicting solitude. A classic! B/W makes it even more appealing. Congratulations!

I noticed this image earlier today and was immediately attracted to it, but couldn't comment on it because I was on another persons PC.  I first thought from the thumb print that the crazy paving was parched cracked earth, but the effect is the same and it makes for an interesting foreground.  The centrally positioned backlit tree works well and with the combination of the empty bench, it tells a story of solitude and remoteness.

Great atmospheric  B & W scene!

Compliments!

A wonderful image. I am glad this is in black and white since color MIGHT prevent me from enjoying all the shapes and tones in this image.  You have a beautiful foreground  and a solitary tree. You also have an  empty chair which could be positive or negative depending on your religious persuasion or political leanings.  My view of that chair is much more simplistic - it is the place where I would like to be sitting - no crowds and probably only the gentle sound of the water to ensure tranquility and relaxation in a beautiful but troubled world.

All the best and thank you for your recent visit.

I really like the mood and story that this image has and creates. Makes you imagine and think  alot when i lay my eyes upon it. The composition really helps create that feeling as well with the crackling stone pateo in the forground leeding your eyes slowly inwards towards the ominous looking tree and its lonely soffa on the side.

Also having the sea in the background is the key to take it to even a higher level as together with the amassing clouds it sort of grip that lonely feeling you get from the tree and throw you out to the winds and sea to dissapear somewhere!

Great stuff.
