single photos dOCUMENTA (13)

Taken at the dOCUMENTA (13) exihibition - please let me know your

thoughts. Note that I don't want to discuss distinctive details

(seeming or actual technical flaws) of the composition (some mates

here want to go into that very detail at any occasion and I don't like

that any longer), I'm only interested in your OVERALL impression. Thx.

I like it a lot! It has a strange, sad beauty to it. The pennies strewn about give the picture pathos....

My impression is one of stark bareness. Of bleak existance, even though there are scattered coins, its as though there has been an arguement, maybe a card game, resulting in thier distribution in the room.  The lack of furniture or curtains gives the room that stark look, a mans room I would guess, maybe even an institution of some kind. No great comfort here. But a compelling image that does demand attention and thought.
