The very epitomy of the "busy bee" head down, engrossed in its very important work. Its a lovely warm impressionist view that mark the end of summer beautifully!

Best Regards

Thankyou for that very lovely critique Alf. I do appreciate your visit. The days are getting colder here (nights as well). I keep hoping for what we often have, an 'Indian Summer'. Cheers for now, Gail

Lovely and attractive capture.  Nice color match.  Sharp with depth and a lot of details.  Interesting blurred back ground.  Thanks for your kind encouragement.  You would use your talent fully if you were at Lake O'Hara even with your macros.  Best Regards,

Very nice macro shot! Great colors! Take a last look Gail. Its starting to get cold down here and I expect it must be pretty cold some days already up where you are!!

Yes, we actually had a 'wind chill' the last few days and it is suppossed to get quite cold tonite. We still have colour on the leaves that remain on the trees and 2 trees that we planted in our yard last year (Autumn Blaze maples) still are quite full of brightly coloured leaves. I have not been out today, it was so windy and cold, I decided to stay in. I am still hoping for an 'Indian Summer', even a few days would be nice! Many thanks for your visit!

;-) Gail!

I haven't done this for a few years, and many things have changed. It's a beautiful capture, but the impact is substantially less than it should be.

Cropping down from the top border to within  3/4's inch of the bee's wing increases impact significantly. It's really worth a look.
