alfbailey 3 Posted December 7, 2011 GRANT Many thanks for your thoughtful feedback, very much appreciated. It does pay to watch the sky, and the cloud movement in particular. When its breezy as it was in this location, the light changes in seconds.Cheers Grant!AlfHola JoaquinMuchasgracis por su interes y retroalimentacion bien considerado, muy apreciada!Saludos CordialesAlfHola Gallego Sincero agradecimento por sus comentarios entusiastas y bien pensado, muy apreciada.Saludos CordialesAlfBILLThank You!You are very kind, I'd love to be able to say it was very hard work, but the fact is, I enjoyed every second, and theres no where I would have rather have been as right there and right then taking the photograph.Cheers Bill!Alf Link to comment
drorbaldinger 0 Posted December 8, 2011 It's amazing what a fan club you have...don't think the little Uruguayan can count the FA as one...Now, all my liking of Moyes are out the window this weekend."3 and 3" is still the deal.Sad in Manchester tonight, eh?all the best, bud. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 9, 2011 Not quite as large as the cop.......yet : - )(For any casual observers that read the exchange between myself and Dror Baldinger please note we are not using any ground breaking code or alien language, it whats known in the UK as "footie talk" or "Soccer talk" in the USA and for the most part has very little to do with photography) : - )Suarez......little bit of a witch hunt going on there I think...they can't stop him on the field so they try other means.I can't cheer for the gunners too loud in our house we have toffee's fans amongst us : - )"3 and 3" sounds good to me!Sad in Manchester yes..........I shed a little tear myself, but I think that was with the convulsions of laughter : - )Take Care mate!AlfMAURIZIOMany thanks for your interest and vote of confidence!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted December 11, 2011 Many Thanks for your interest and positive feedback, much appreciated.Best RegardsAlfGAILSincere Thanks for your interest and enthusiasm, very much appreciated! I try to upload larger versions, just so viewers can get an idea of the image as I could see it. This means that I adjust the shot so that the levels sharpness etc are optimized for the larger view. The downside is that sometimes the image can look a bit flat at the normal size. But I'm very pleased you clicked it and enjoyed the result Gail.Warmest RegardsAlf Link to comment

anne_jouhtinen 0 Posted April 5, 2012 I´m speechless in front of this magnificent photo!!! It makes me wish time to fly in order to get to Scotland next summer...With best wishes, a Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 6, 2012 I was also at this very spot just last week, but alas the light was very bright and the shadows deep so I didn't take any shots, but Scotland is just full of iconic scenery, I love the place. Sincere thanks for stopping by and for your positive feedback.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted January 21, 2013 At last, after a fairly arduous hike, we come to this remote spot & relatively speaking, preceded by only a few. Slip off our packs, locate a comfortable rock to sit & absorb the wonderful view. Our gaze immediately locks on & we wonder how long this small mountain has been guardian of his pristine spot. You revel in the view, enjoy the quietness, the smell of clean air & are pleased you came. After a pleasant stay, reluctantly shouldering packs, start the return journey of a most enjoyable day. This is how this viewer views your fine image, Best Regards-Ross P.S I give up, how do you pronounce,"Bwcle". alfbailey 3 Posted January 21, 2013 Wow! What a glorious way to describe a photograph, I'm very humbled, Thank You!It is a magical place, in fact the whole area is spectacular. One gets dizzy looking around, because in every direction there is another photo opportunity. Deer are prolific here and you can get very close to them if you are quiet. The real name of the location is "Buchel Etive Mor" however its pronunciation is difficult for me to express, as I'm fairly sure I haven't got it right! The spurious name I used for the photograph, is from the North Wales town of "Bwcle" (the welsh spelling) which is pronounced and spelt in English as Buckley. Thanks again for your interest, its great to get feedback like this!Best Regards Alf Link to comment
peter.s 0 Posted January 29, 2015 Alf - Just stumbling on this now - it's already been commented on many times - but what the hey - I had to say it too - great shot, great composition - congratulations.Peter. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted January 29, 2015 Many Thanks........It is something of an iconic scene these days, this location is well known and photographed a lot. But it's moods change by the minute and all the ingredients are there for a good shot.......it's just a matter of light and timing. Personally I'd love to get a shot of this in the snow!
