Good to see you again!

The well represents the magnificent wildness in these animals as well as the classic spirit of the African plains... Excellent... Mike

Hello Marina,

Excellent shot.  The elephant in the front is the main point of interest, but the elephants in the back put an extra dimension in this picture.

Well Done,
Ben

I love this image. Excellent photo of the elephant. Were those other bull elephants in the background there or were they added in some way. If they were added it is very hard to tell. I only ask because I was under the impression that bull elephants are aggressive with one another.

Your black and white images of African wildlife are possibly the best I've ever seen in that medium and for that subject matter.  You have a tremendous sense for contrasting the foreground focused subject with accompanying background imagery.  This gives a sense of dynamism that is rarely found.

One point though: you do seem to centre the main subject right in the middle of the frame.  This works for some photos, such as the one above, but hurts your other images as they run the risk of being symmetrical blase representations.  Off-setting to another area of the frame serves to trigger the human mind in terms of capturing interest and allows for more three-dimensional balance when you set the foreground and background (links are seen between the diferent aspects of the photo instead of just contrast).

As a fellow Africa traveller (South Africa, Namibia, Morocco, Ethiopia, and Kenya) I appreicate your work a great deal.  Bravo!

Cory, thank you very much for your interest comment.

I was not aware I used to centre the main subjet in my pictures. I always try to take care of the composition. So I appreciate a lot your advise about it.

Keep in touch!
