crosstone 0 Posted May 26, 2011 I was excited to photograph this scene of a cowboy on his horse when he came into my scene as it adds some scale to the picture. Better without the horse and rider or with? Link to comment

alfbailey 4 Posted May 26, 2011 A brilliant landscape image in its own right, but the addition of the lone cowboy, as you said adds scale and brings the image to life. Moreover it re-awakens every boyhood fantasy I had about riding a horse through such fantastic settings. The light shadow and sky combination of contrasting colour is another strong element that adds mood and drama to the scene.Very nicely composed and presented.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted May 26, 2011 It certainly adds scale to the shot but I think that it would stand on its own without it. It's a beautiful secne that really is captured beautifully. The shadow at the bottom creeps in a bit but I guess that would be my only minor point. Link to comment
PhaasePhotography 0 Posted May 27, 2011 Hi Peter,It is just a wonderful shot.I didn't even see the horse. I was drawn to the cloud over the scene when looking at the thumbnail and then the range of colour and then bright and dark areas. It is great. As terrible as it sounds if you were lower the horseman would have been spectacular. Thanks for sharing. -Paul Link to comment
