Thank you for viewing, for you comments and your ratings.

I don't know if this is a bad picture or a average picture. But ... please

comment whatever your rating is (if it's posible). I just want to know what

I do wrong so in the future not to make the same mistake again. I ask

you that because I have been received very contradictory ratings on

some of my photos. Could someone please explain to me? No hard

feelings! I have joined to photo.net to learn.

Thank you again for watching this photo and for reading this.

All my best.

Salut,

Asta ar fi putut fi fotografia perfecta!

Prezenta personajului din planul 2 e o chestie de gust si nu o sa o comentez. Singurul motiv care ma face sa ii dau 6 e ca i-ai taiat picioarele.

Oricum, e o fotografie foarte buna.

Numai bine, Bogdan

Cosmin, I like the natural expression of the  girl.Very good exposure, tone and light falling on her face. Just a suggestion, I feel the figure in the background is distracting. You may like a tighter crop or use clone tool  to eliminate the person. When you are concentrating on the finger, you could have cropped a bit from top and below.

I really like the tone on this one. As A.K. mention, I cloned out the man on her left and I tried a few cropping.  Since the focus is on her finger, I tried a tighter crop it at her waist but it did not work well.  I tried to narrow the picture to put her in a more portrait mode without better success.  So I left it the way it was.

Unfortunately, her feet are cut.

Salut Bogdan

Iti multumesc pentru comentariul tau sincer. Stiu ca i-am taiat picioarele :) Asta e clar ca e o greseala. Personajul din spate l-am lasat in incercarea de a da o alta perspectiva fotografiei. Poate nu mi-a iesit. Salutari din Timisoara

A.K.

I leave the character in the background trying to give another perspective to the photo. Thank you for comment and your rating.

Richard

Thank you for your comment. As I said before I leave the character in the bck for a different perspective. (I just tried!). Her feet are cut, yes. I know that's a mistake. Best regards.

Except for the fact that her feet are cut a bit, this is a striking photo. I like the composition and especially the expanse of sky behind the young lady. Good DOF, too.

I agree with Jack.  The only thing that I could see right away was that her feet were cut off.  This is a very nice photo.  I like the desaturated look it kind of neutralizes the sky in the background.  With regard to the ratings.  I wouldn't get too worried by that.  There are a lot of folks on this site that have their own agendas.  They would rate a Ansel Adams or an Annie Leibovitz harshly and leave no explanation.  If you use the rating system here for feedback, just take about half of the ratings from the high side as well as the low side with a grain of salt.  Just don't get discouraged, keep submitting and develop connections.  That will make it the most rewarding and you'll see the growth.

What they said above are true and honest. In addition to that is to crop the figure on the left  in a way that the girl will end up slightly off center, crop the top just right above the bonnet, and crop the bottom just right below the hem of her skirt. This is the rule of third and that finger will end up on one of the intersecting line and make the whole image more dynamic.

It's all a question of personal taste and the creative choice of the photographer - and I like what you show here as it is.However, the image suffers because of the cut-off feet imho but you know already.

There are many suggestions, and a crop could be done, looks pretty good, but for me, I like the Photo.  The desaturated look is quite nice for this candid shot.  I also like the expanse of the sky, for me it kind of takes me in another direction....for this moment her 'whole world' is evolving around her finger. Yet we can see that there is such a big world beyond this little 'hiccup' in her day. Perhaps there is a lesson to be learned here.  Nice work!! *Kind regards, Gail

A lovely photo, Cosmin..!  Lovely mood and tones. I actually like the person in the BG, as it adds to the 'story' and overall composition, I think. (& especially as her/his back is turned towards the girl)  I too like the space surrounding the girl, and the dof is perfectly achieved, imo.  (However, yes, I do agree = a real pity re: her cut-off  feet.... :-) Kind regards to you, Marjolein

I think the expression of studied curiosity is priceless, almost as if she's surprised  to see a finger there at all! A brilliant uncontrived moment, captured superbly.

Very well done Cosmin!

Alf
