Terrible day of shooting, . . . Arrived here just after daylight in very heavy

fog to get some shots at the Bald Eagles. Well, the Eagles were there

but in the heavy fog would only show up as dark spots. Sometime

around 2pm the fog on the Oxbow lifted but the skies

remained "gloomy" at best. This was the only salvageable shot of the

day.

Shot @ 100mm f/4 @ 1/1600 with post processing.

Thanks in advance for any comments, critiques, opinions or ratings

Jim...it may have been a gloomy day, but you have captured a well-composed landscape.  Love the tones in this one.  Best regards, bb

I can empathise with you, sometimes you just get one of those days when hardly anything look right. But I'm pleased to say this one was worth the visit. I love those stark branches against the misty back drop. Great winter scene!

Best Regards

Dear James.

All I can say is that pespective works fantastic here. It doesn't matter if barns are empty or not the photo has a story behind. Almost B/W is somethin I really like here but I'm not sure re frame. It's too thick IMO. But all it counts is the photo.

Congrats for great one, Vukasin

Hi Jim:
Thanks for your comment. I have looked around your many photos and they are great. I found his one in particular very appealing. Sometimes an overcast day and heavy fog are a great gift to us photographers, adding an extra element to an image that would be less striking in a bright sunny day. The fog in the background and the one stemming from the body of water in front of the buildings and trees are the icing on the cake. Great image! Congratulations.
