Some think it seems like Modigliani’s paintings. I don’t agree; Modigliani’s portraits have empty eyes and more angular face contours. For me it seems like a Theotokopoulos painting. Ciao, Alx

Her neck reminds Modigliani, as was already said, but her face looks like a human "statue". Nice portrait, subdued color, and lighting.

Unusual portrait . . . . . there is something about it which steals your attention. Hmmmmmmm not sure what it is....perhaps the eyes (with unusually closed pupils), or the elongated face...not sure. What I'm sure about is that this is NOT just a portrait....but  another work of art. My compliments Pierre and well done! Best regards...JB

I usually not  commenting on portrait, but  this image  has  some  special, some  mysterious  effect, like  the  De Vinci's, Mona Liza.  Excellent composition, the space  below  the face highlighting  the  portrait beautifully. The  flower  with the eyes, . . . ?  I'm not  sure. The image  would  be  beautiful, without  it. IMHO.

(Eu) gosto muito desta! É muito bonita

(Tu) aqui conseguiste fazer “dois em um”: um retrato quase” limpo” (com pouco recurso ao PhotoShop) e o teu surrealismo habitual apresentado de forma muito subtil, ao contrário do que te é costume.

É só a escolha da lente ou do filtro (que distorce o retrato) e a flor (que lhe põe um “terceiro olho”). Nada mais!...mas bastante conseguido.

(Eu) concordo com o que se diz atrás: o rosto alongado faz lembrar Modigliani.

a work of art on many levels.

This is a portrait that I find both eerie yet extremely beautiful. After some looking at a it for awhile it actually reminds me of the work by the Spanish painter " El Greco" who would render his models with elongated features. This photo simply moves me !

I don't know how I missed this photo but I'm happy to discover it anew right now! This is a brilliant portrait!! It projects the feeling that it was done by a modernist painter. The black and white tones, the very tight crop, the beauty of the model and of course her expression work so well in projecting this to the viewer. And, the flower by her right ear just accentuates it all. Bien! Très Bien!
