After some misgivings in post-processing, I pulled this capture two days

ago. I am re-posting, but have some concerns of an over-all orange cast

to the petals verses a more pronounced red. Do you have any opinions

you would like to share? I am relatively pleased with the composition,

is this sound? Thank you for your time and comments.

Hi DL,

I think this is a gorgeous image and in my opinion (for what it is worth) I prefer this shade of red as it allows for more overall tones. Great composition and clarity too. Nice work.

No "blue hues" in this one. I agree with Sarah this is "Gorgeous" I think you nailed the composition pretty much spot on, and the light / shade detail is excellent. It doesn't look overly "orange" on my monitor either and it has been calibrated recently. Can't fault it to be honest!

Best Wishes

In this instance, I much prefer color over B&W. I especially like the way you've captured the grooves in the petals. GJ
