a moment like this one goes by in an instant. . .I think I would've been too awestruck to get my camera gear up quickly enough to capture such a well composed and well exposed image.  you must have super photographic instincts (if there is such a thing. . .LOL).  Great job!!  and thanks for sharing it!

I guess I'm not going to say anything new here but what a picture.

the bird formation on it own is a great image but the fact of the lonely bird this image outstanding and then to top it all off yu got one of the most gerogeous backgrounds and once everything is together here you have a once in a lifetime image.

I've seen this behaviour before (not witnessed, unfortunately) but this shot is just perfect: the shape of the flock, the position of the predator, the color and luminosity of the clouds, the simmetry of all elements... It's just breath taking!
