andrea_varetto 0 Posted October 19, 2010 Wonderful, the east face of Cervino (italian name of Matterhorn) is always a great subject, the quintessence of a mountain. Link to comment

whydangle 0 Posted October 21, 2010 This is a visually successful landscape because of the contrast. I like how most of the scene is rendered in the lowest light values, yet detail is still apparent. Meanwhile, the thematic subjects are in the higher values of luminosity. The way the mountain peak floats is exceptional. This type of landscape is not my cup of tea, however. I generally like scenes with available detail throughout. Not saying this isn't good, just not my preference. Still, if this one was in my portfolio, I would be proud and I would show it off. It is wonderful!! Link to comment
