Yes, the light in this is truly brilliant.  I think I'd like to see a bit less of a cyan cast in the foreground rabbitbrush, but I tend toward the Maxfield Parrish aesthetic of serious warm tones for morning light.  Beautifully done.

Excellent sky Anish!! Love the Rabbit Brush as a foreground interest. Round Valley is a great place to be when the sky lights up. If you are up in one of the canyons, you can get blocked out from catching this kind of sky. The last time I was near Bishop, I shot around Bentons Crossing. Being out in the open valley gives you the opportunity to shoot 360 degrees. When I come back next week I may just stay away from the throngs of leaf peepers, especially if the skies are promising. I may also spend some time along the Owens River Gorge road. Lots of interesting landscapes there. If the fall colors are peaking, well then I will be looking for something out of the way. I will be looking for Upper Summers Meadow. Are you familiar? I will be shooting on my own and I truly don't want to be squeezed out by some photography workshop when the light is good!

Thanks, guys.

John, I did my best to reproduce the colors as I remember seeing them. It could be a monitor thing, but to my eye I'm not seeing too much cyan here. I also tend not to push the warmth too much, as I've found it can easily look contrived.

Mark, Owens Valley is indeed a wonderful place to be and to photograph. I'm not familiar with Summers Meadow, but then there are probably countless spots there that I have yet to discover. It's only a 4 hour drive for me, so I'll have many more opportunities!

Really it is a beautiful picture, the colorful is very nice, the pink in the clouds is so pretty and makes a nice contrast with the greens. Good perspective and good job.

Regards.
