A little on the soft side for this subject. Very nice use of lighting.

it is a very good portrait only the border to the background is to hard, you could smooth it.!!!

i really like this.. i think it may look better if the black square format is cropped tighter to the head in a portrait (rectangle) shape.

 

Really good contrast... like many of your pictures? is this done later in photoshop? i really like the effect.

Looks like it was cut out of a newspaper and put onto a black background.

Very good subject but there's no or little detail in the face and the hair and beard. Appears very muddy

Thanks for sharing so many beautiful images with us.I have seen your pictures and some are quite amazing. I love your portraits and as a beginner in Photography I would like to ask you to explain the art of taking such pictures, i assume that you do a lot of retouching, but is the room you shoot in completely dark, is there only one light source, what kind of light is it,where does it come from, is it subdued? Thank you in advance for any tips and explanations and keep on shooting :-)
