Black-Back Seagull

This seagull was just landing at waters edge. Taken at Block Island, RI.

Supposedly it's a rare seagull that's protected at this location. It was a

bit larger than the ones I'm accustomed to seeing. Thanks for looking.

A great shot Holger. I love how he has his legs stretched out in front of himself, his landing gear, and outstretched wings. So graceful.

Nice crisp clear image with natural looking colour, capturing not only the seagull in that classic pose, but also the atmospthere of the sea and the shore.
