Too Hot

For the life of me I could never pass a Chamelon without taking a

picture, they are just cool creatures. This one was mid-day during the

heights of the dry hot season. To get this angle with my 200mm-Macro I

had to lay straight on the ground - then I understood this fellows

problem - too hot.

Enny & Jim thanks; I observed the colours to darken with the mood aka approaching them :-) I guess being as bright as possible helps them to reflect light and stay as cool as possible.

Great shot, the grumpy facial characteristics of the little chap, seem to indicate his displeasure of the intense heat, this can only be surpassed by your own discomfort when trying to photograph him......if only someone else had a camera!  Great story and lovely image Mark.
