LindaM 2 Posted March 22, 2010 I think this is Dorothy's house caught up in the twister before it lands in Oz! How do you get both vertical and horizontal movement in this? Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted March 22, 2010 Tatjana; Thanks this was taken in a moving car with a slow shutter. Linda; A long lens and a road with a lot of potholes :-) Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted March 23, 2010 You have a real knack for this type shot. Rich texture. Like a pencil drawing on papyrus. Well done. ~~~~~~~~L Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted March 23, 2010 The subject matter perfectly befits the execution. I like how you've scratched out your take on this interesting scene. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 24, 2010 Interesting composition and execution, Gord, it has an airy feeling. I like the different directions of the trees, it looks like a round movement of trees around the houses, like " hugging"them..... beautiful color palette, and as usual a very nice use of your technic. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 24, 2010 "Dorothy, Dorothy...Come back, Dorothy. Oh, there she goes, off to God knows where." I'm afraid my Favorites Folder is starting to look like the Bowbrick Museum. I'll have to add a wing just for your pictures. This one will have an honored place. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted March 25, 2010 Wow, are you on a roll, Gordon. If I could make one photo, come up with one idea like some of these, I would feel very pleased with myself. Congratulations on your continuing fine work. --Lannie Link to comment

bosshogg 4 Posted March 31, 2010 There is nothing I can say to enhance the praise you've already received. Everything else would be reiteration. Wonderful work. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted April 7, 2010 And who said potholes are a nuisance?! I've always loved your drive-by shootings, and this is certainly one of the best. Haven't been looking for awhile, but this kind of work richly rewards having checking in on your work. I like and agree with the other comments, especially the Steven King quality of this one, and I'm also taken by the rotation of the image and crop. Stunningly and spookily (is that a word?) wonderful! Warm Regards, David Link to comment
