Smaller aperture! No, I think you have this just right, the lighter foreground petals really stand out from the darker background petals. I like your 'Black Dahlia', nicely done.

A great photo, nice and crisp in the centre. Thanks for the comment on Serenity. It was a crisp winter morning when I took the shot and the sun absolutely fabulous.

Excellent shot with some great lighting, well done.

This image has exceptional clarity, it really jumps out of the frame, a wonderful range of b&w tones and the small curled petal really anchors the shot, Debs comment "like a girl covering her lips as she giggles" was a great interpretation, my own is that .....it's covering its mouth to cough and announce it's arrival!
