alfbailey 3 Posted January 14, 2010 I tried to position myself between the three wind turbines and the sun for this shot as the direct sunlight was really bright, it looks warm but it showed -5C on the car Temp Gauge, the snow was about 2ft deep in places and of course I found all of those deep places with my feet!, when I eventually got back to the car I found my jeans had actually frozen above my wellies, and there was me thinking my legs were stiff from walking : - ) Your Thoughts and comments are always appreciated! pfranklin 0 Posted January 14, 2010 Unusual pov, this is well executed and interesting to look at, the depth and hint of wind blades in the bg are well placed. I like this very much and am happy that your legs didn’t freeze! ;) Warm regards, Pamela Link to comment

johnroberts 0 Posted January 14, 2010 Quite a haunting image, I like the solid silhouette of the turbines against the blue and yellow of the sky and then the shadow opening out along the snow. Great composition. Regards....John Link to comment

JANNICA I am really pleased you like it, thank you for your very complimentary words and observations my freind. PEDRO Thank you so much for your visit and your very kind comments. FLORIANA I really appreciate you stopping by and commenting, thank you. ANNE & RUNAR Thank you for your very kind words, much appreciated. PAMELA Good to hear from you, I hope you are keeping well, I'm really pleased you like it. The frozen jeans were a small price to pay!. Well you've heard of "Writers Cramp" and "Tennis Elbow" I think I've discovered another phononemon "Photographers Kneecap" similar to the other type of occupational knee injury "Chronic marital proposal syndrome" : - ) thankfully I don't suffer from the latter! PAUL Many thanks for your interest and comments. LINDA Thank you for looking in and commenting, I really appreciate it. JOHN Many Thanks John, these wind turbines really are quite imposing not to say intimidating when you get right up close to them. some people see them as an eyesore, personally I think I'd rather see a few of these than another nuclear power plant! Hopefully our paths will cross one day John as we seem to frequent the same area's. Sincere Thanks and Warm Regards To All Alf Link to comment

whoz_the_man_huh 0 Posted January 15, 2010 Astounding, Alf. What staggering color and detail. The sky is so blue it's blinding and almost hurts the eyes, and you can almost feel, hear, smell and taste the snow. A Photo of the Week contender, no doubt. Link to comment

pfranklin 0 Posted January 16, 2010 HA! I was wondering about the knees…….of course for me I am not sure what other occupational injury to relate it to…since I have never proposed to anyone! You do make me laugh my friend! I can’t wait for your monthly photo submission….should you accept the challenge…………and I think you should! All the best, Pamela ;) Link to comment
