axel-cordes 0 Posted January 11, 2010 On the first sight it looks like a common way some photographers do - on the second we can see the depth of it - coincidence and you have been prepared - great! It makes it even more difficult to foresee it as it was the other way round. Bravo! Ciao Axel Link to comment

giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted January 12, 2010 for your appreciation.I have been out of town (and PN too) for quite some time, so I get this occasion to wish you all a happy, peaceful New Year, and thank all those who have sent their Season Greetings. This shot is part of a mini-series titled "Joys of Season" that presents some personal "sketches" and impressions about Christmas time in Rome. A new way of presenting my works that I hope will be welcome for the sake of the "narrative" theme underlying my latest productions. Thanks again, ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
3m 0 Posted January 12, 2010 A really very beautiful (original composition & clear b&w tone wise) photo, Giuseppe...! You so nicely managed to get the 2 perfectly balanced subjects imo, and this interesting scene, all in this little puddle... Really well done! Best wishes, Marjolein Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 12, 2010 Superb; wonderful. This is where Photography meets Salvador Dali meets M.C. Escher.. A flight of the imagination; a tale of heros and evil tyrants and princesses wandering lost in the strange city. A truly original piece. Bravo. This goes into my favorites. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted January 12, 2010 E' propio una bella opera, che tu hai valorizzato con il tuo magico riflesso. Complimenti! Link to comment

human images 4 Posted January 14, 2010 McRitchie’s take on your photograph is among the most descriptive and succinct of any comment I’ve read in nearly two years here on PN. I second his every single word, nuanced metaphor and imagery. This here picture is indeed a fine piece of work signor Pasquali. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted January 14, 2010 for your beautiful comments and appreciation.Someone asked privately if I had to wait for a long time to take this one. Well, to be honest, I envisioned this photo at the same moment the lady on the left [left, yes, I was seeing everything reversed :-))] walked by my side. When I wander through the streets I do not like to stop and wait for the "perfect" shot. I do not like to stop in front of huge posters on the wall and wait for someone to walk by and "enact" similar situations: that is not my way of photographing. Usually I (fore)see a potentially good combination of forms and meanings and raise my camera taking one or two shots, no less, no more. Life is a flowing stream where the photographer swims: the secret is to have the same rhythm of the street and keep your mind open, always open. This is the only way you can discover "heroes and evil tyrants and princesses wandering lost in the strange city" (thanks Jack, these lines are in my heart since I read them).Thank you so much for your continuous support, Giuseppe.
