giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted December 3, 2009 (to my eyes) use of grain. You caught the moment in a timely manner. Imho, in order to give a bit more importance to the main subject (renouncing to some depth), you could crop out the lamp on the left. I like this shot, ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
momagnum 5 Posted December 4, 2009 Guiseppe. Thank you for your kind comment. The grainy texture comes from the media, an old analog tri-x film developed in HC 110. In those days I always used that combination because I liked the grainy pictures. As you see, i cut the image on the left side. I had to decide whether to cut of the mast next to the standing man. I left half of it with the purpose of "stopping" the flow out of the image. Tommy Link to comment
3m 0 Posted December 4, 2009 I very much like this image of these 2 concentrated workers, and agree as well about leaving in the post on the left. (it would create a "vide" there, which ( imho) the picture needs to keep the composition steady. I like the 'continuous movement' by the 2 men -- one shovel from below, the other coming on top. A very nice photo, Tommy! Best regards, Marjolein Link to comment
mirceatt 1,965 Posted December 6, 2009 Very good street shot ! I like it ! Best regards, Mircea Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted December 8, 2009 I like the grainy texture, it gives a kind of nostalgic feel to the whole image, even the characters and equipment look very "retro". I like it! Regards Alf Link to comment
aziantoaziz 0 Posted December 17, 2009 Nice angle and moment .. but the pole on the left side is annoyed IMHO Link to comment
tim_warren 0 Posted May 2, 2011 I love the grainy look in the old-timey type of photo. I'm on the fence if I like the pole in our out of the photo on the left. The pole frames the shot but it being cropped out I think would make the subjects pop out even more; cheers. Link to comment
lookinglass 0 Posted March 1, 2015 I like the moment and the characteristic Tir X tone and grain. Well done Link to comment
