wieslawmamon 0 Posted September 4, 2009 agree with Radu and Keith, the long vertical lines make all the difference in this work as they create an atmosphere of dignity and excellence. The presence of the priest seems to add to this feelings and brings life to this otherwise static, full of repeated rectangles and perpendicular lines composition. The geometry is worth attention on its own and may serve as a good material for studying how it affects the mood of the image. Thank you for sharing, best regards -wm Link to comment

BobSandford 0 Posted September 6, 2009 so much that works well here. makes good use of the architectural insight that vertical space has the capacity to evoke the transcendant. there is a nice harmony between the architecture and the garb and posture of the figure. a classic, enduring photo. congrats. giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted September 9, 2009 I like very much the play that is generated by the vertical bi-partition and the horizontal movement of the priest. Good eye, really! Thanks for sharing, Giuseppe Link to comment

andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted September 26, 2009 you know what, gunnar? i see here something that is in the air in rome, and that you catched very well. i mean the friendly rapport between the majestic, ancien architectures and the life of every day. i am always surprised to see how people move, talk, lough in the middle of the history without to feel little. pity my english that dont permit me to explain better, but i hope you have understood a little... ciao Link to comment
