jacobeliana 0 Posted July 26, 2009 I like the idea of this a great deal. The texture of the wood comes through nicely and the black and white was a good choice. My only suggestion would be to crop perhaps a bit wider so it is less centered. Link to comment

setsail728 15 Posted July 26, 2009 The b&w tone works perfectly. To my eye its the geometrics and the textures that make this a wonderful photo. The vertical orientation of the rough post and the cracks in it, contrasted with diagonals of the wrapping of the coarse line makes it very interesting. The lighting on the post is very good and placing the background in deep shadow to "black out" distractions keeps the focus on the post. Ver well done! Link to comment
