alberto.conde 0 Posted December 29, 2002 Excellent portrait with a strong stare enhanced by her proud way of having her chin slightly upwards. I like it a lot. Good background and good lighting, also. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 30, 2002 Splendid portrait, elegant posture and wonderful tones.Anna Link to comment
marius 0 Posted December 30, 2002 This is excellent - Very lovely lady. Have you tried sepia toning the image? might look good also. Hasselblad / Zeiss never fails....:-) Link to comment
ben_owen_browne 0 Posted December 30, 2002 Beautifully soft, sensual tones, and a tremendous grace and nobility make this seem more like a courtly oil painting than a photo. Pity you weren't around in the 18th century: I think you could have picked up a lot of work (and saved a lot of people a lot of bother). Bravo. Link to comment
vatovec 0 Posted December 30, 2002 Yeah, and what is a portrait?I think looking at that picture one has all the answers - all have been said all has been photographed - NOT! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 30, 2002 Very, very well executed portrait. From styling to print tone, this seems just right for the subject. Lovely. Link to comment
bruce_jones3 0 Posted December 30, 2002 An elegant portrait. Was it really done in 1972? Then that 500 would have been relatively new, right? Very good lighting effect. As someone else said it's great equipment too. I know I wouldn't trade my Zeiss glass for anything. But it's more the eye behind the lens. The rest of your portfolio is telling. Link to comment
brooks short 1 Posted December 30, 2002 Bruce, I misspoke. it was a 500C Hasselblad and the shot was really done in 1972. Rita and I were coworkers in a commercial studio and we were fooling around (in a photographic way)in the studio on our lunch break. Styling was Rita's everyday outfit. Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted December 31, 2002 Stunning model, fantastic pose, flawless lighting all come together in a perfect shot...combine that with a flawless print that transcends time, a mark of a great photograph, and youll have an image that will be appreciated as much 30 years from now, as it was 30 years ago. Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2003 luv the halo effect that the background lite was set up to give.... only another studio person like me would appreciate ... Link to comment
theblindphotographer 0 Posted January 4, 2003 Wonderful! Was that a background light? I think its post exposure print burn-in. Link to comment
brooks short 1 Posted January 4, 2003 For a Blind Photographer, you are quite observant ! That is indeed a rather clumsy burn on the background. Link to comment
