bosshogg 4 Posted June 25, 2009 Very nice. I love candids of people and this one is doubly sweet with the reflection. The composition shows your usual mastery, and that sunlit green material is like a life force. Link to comment
edswinden 0 Posted June 25, 2009 Another distinctive "Jack" photo...muted pastel colour palette, off centre subject, hidden features...you should collect these ino a presentation or separate folder...it'd be cool to see them as a series. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted June 26, 2009 Well, she certainly is not alone with them now. The signature McRitchie disjointedness evident again. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 26, 2009 A woman so at peace with herself that she does not meet herself coming and going. Lovely light! Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted June 26, 2009 Interesting picture, I like it a lot. Regards. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2009 The color of the upholstery seems so much a part of the scene and feeling of the moment. It's as if it HAD to be just that green. I like the empty seat made so noticeable with the light beam. The partial reflection also adds to the scene. She hides behind that big brimmed hat. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted June 27, 2009 she may be alone, but she does not seem at all lonely. the light on the seat is a lovely companion as is her reflection. love that green. that color looks almost Kentian to me, although the image is totally McRitchie Link to comment
drewmurphy 0 Posted June 27, 2009 Lovely color work, as others have noted, but the composition is key here for me. The subject and her reflection on opposing sides with the light sitting on the seat between them is marvellous...good one. Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted June 28, 2009 I agree with Ed. You really should consider assembling a collection of these (color) passengers on a train, series. I recall this wonderful green in other shots. The sun spot beaming in makes an already compelling composition, magical. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted June 30, 2009 doppelgangers and a beam of light is our only companion in this strange trip we call life. Kudos, Giuseppe Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted June 30, 2009 Wonderful work, Jack. I love the tones, reflection, composition and her head down in thought. Surely she must have known you were clicking on her. I enjoy studying this, and wondering how you pulled it off being so close by. Link to comment
nichroe 0 Posted June 30, 2009 In a way it´s wrong to compare shots,, but your Sliding By from 2007 and this one have something in common,,,no doubt most people prefere this one,,,but i find the other one more unic,,pure abstract,,the less you say the more you tell,,in long term,,,i prefere to fight to find an answer,,and,,,,,,,,,,,another one,,,,,next time,,,but it´s a good shot Jack,,,congrt,,,,,,,,,n Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 30, 2009 Could you provide a link to Sliding By or tell us which folder it's in? I'd like to check out what you're referring to. Thanks. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted July 1, 2009 Thanks. It's certainly an interesting comparison and I see why you've made it. I appreciate your guiding me over to see it. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted July 2, 2009 the compo is great Jack....but what strike most is: the colors...what a smooth and delicate combination...they seem to whisper to not disturb the lady in her thoughts... Link to comment
andrewcampbell 1 Posted January 3, 2010 The light on the bench sets this image off perfectly. My eyes keep getting drawn to it. It's like someone (or something) is sitting right next to her. Cheers! Link to comment
