Not Here 93 Posted April 29, 2009 Dick... Gorgeous! Not to bore you, but I spent a year once in San Diego (courtesy of USN) and puttered around the harbor on many occasions. rarmstrong 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Thank you, Lawrence, Jean-Marc, and Mike! This was shot from my hotel room through the window. I turned all the room lights off to minimize any possible reflections. Mike, I spent 8 years of active duty in the Navy but was never stationed on the west coast. This trip to San Diego was very quick and my meeting took up the whole time so I saw very little of the city(which is beautiful). The Nimitz was docked across from my hotel which brought back many memories. I served as the surgeon on the Nimitz from 1981 to 1982. It's home port was Norfolk at that time. Wow...time flies!
