Main building, Elswout Park, The Netherlands

An example of "fooling around with a wide angle lens", really.

Its a beautiful building... the angle of the shot makes it seem a little like its leaning to the right. All the verticans are right-inclined, and the railing too slopes a little, strengthening this illusion.. Maybe standing a little more to the left would have corrected the perspective issue?

Super exposure . Nice subject.l

Instead of creating yet another pleasing image of the stately mansion

in Elswout park (in the Netherlands), I though I'd have a go at a

wacky shot. I used a 24mm lens and polarizing filter to create

something more striking.

What do you think? Good job? Over the top?

Thank you for your time and comments.

Yes, I think it is too much wide-angle weirdness. I've tried lots of this kind of thing myself in Europe because I was too lazy to carry around a tripod and a perspective correction lens. But the 17-35/2.8 really isn't a substitute.

I know the building, which is really hideous as architecture - built as a boil on an artificial hill - but this abstract-like photo gives it a certain charm, combined with the harsh polarized blue-black sky.
